Values and Integrity

Our Values

We are first and foremost a Christian Organisation so our values include patience, kindness, and acceptance. A non-judgmental approach is essential in supporting those we work with.

Integrity

This is very important in the work of Gap Kenya. The charity is overseen by trustees based in the UK who meet regularly and oversee all financial expenditure. We are regulated by the charities commission who receive annual reports and accounts. Our UK Charity no. is 1111373.

Here in Kenya, our charity is also overseen by ‘Operation Give Hope’, a charitable organisation based in the USA who run a number of projects in Kenya. It is through OGH Gap Kenya is registered with the necessary bodies required when employing staff, such as the Kenyan Revenue Authority (taxes), NSSF (pensions), and the NHIF (medical care).

We operate in Kenya as a Community Based Organisation and work closely with the local Children’s Department, registering every child who attend our centres and meet regularly with Children’s Officers.
