What Makes Us Different!
GapKenya is a window
to the world from which rural communities can request your assistance.
These are specific people with projects that are urgently looking for help.
Gapkenya simply provides the "window" for you to discover them and a high quality and efficient volunteer
infrastructure through Ziwa Conservation, so that you
can safely help and make a worth while, positive contribution. Many
of the projects do not have the resources or funding to provide a suitable
infrastructure such as sourcing accommodation providing 24 hr
support so that is where we come in. By
choosing to assist a GapKenya community project you will not be a tourist
but become part of the rich fabric of Kenyan life and it's people.
Through living and working in Kenya for over 10
years the Ziwa Conservation team have a comprehensive knowledge of the country and the
many communities that request help. Due to their experience on the ground in
Kenya we can provide you with the chance to assist and immerse yourself in
interesting & challenging projects. All the communities are based in the Highlands of Kenya, Eldoret is the main hub.
This area is off the beaten track
of the tourist trail so you get to know the REAL Kenya and make a REAL difference to people's
lives.
You wont be one of many Gappers in a big machine
but will be able to have individual experiences within small groups
allowing you to become part of the community and not just a tourist or one
amongst many. Flexibility and individuality is a key feature.

like yourself to find out about projects that urgently need your help.
Based in Mid Wales our team understands that it can be daunting booking a Gap

commitment in providing a quality service to you!

communities receive the vital help they need.
